OUR RESPONSE TO THE YELLOW LEVEL
Since the start of the pandemic we have made decisions to protect residents and staff. As part of our pandemic management plan, the move back to the Yellow Level permits us to make the following changes:
1.Designated Caregiver Designated caregivers provide important support to a loved one. We have re-incorporated this, one visit per week within the administration wing.
2.General Visitation General visitation is now permitted with one visit, two visitors per week for each resident. Screening and social distancing is practiced and this takes place in the administration wing. All visits are managed through the Activities department.
3.Home Visits We continue to discourage home visits for the time being. We are allowing those who have requested to take their loved one home at Christmas to do so, pending the situation in our province remains stable. If you are taking your loved one home, we ask that you limit visits to immediate family and avoid large groups or gatherings.
4.Screening Screening for employees and caregivers continues to be required.
5.Resident Movement and Activities Christmas festivities are in full swing! We have had the school come sing out front, Christmas crafts, and evening bus tours around the community to view the lights. The residents are enjoying the beautiful decorating throughout the Manor. A parade in front of the Manor is planned for Saturday. We sure know how to celebrate the season! No one has been sick since the last update. We hope good health continues into the new year. Wear a mask. Practice physical distancing. Wash your hands. Be kind to one another. Together we will get through this. Please call the manor if you have any questions. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas!
